Founder / Executive Director
LaShanda Howard Newton
LaShanda Howard Newton is a founder of Three Blu Hearts, Inc., a nonprofit organization created as one of the many ways she gives back to the Shreveport community she proudly serves. With a strong commitment to community uplift and youth empowerment, LaShanda believes in creating meaningful opportunities that address real needs and inspire positive change.
As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, LaShanda is guided by the sorority’s core principle of service. This commitment to service is reflected in the mission and work of Three Blu Hearts, where she strives to raise awareness of the challenges facing underserved communities and help connect individuals and families to resources, support, and opportunities for growth.
Through Three Blu Hearts, LaShanda is dedicated to working collaboratively with community partners, volunteers, and families to identify solutions, promote education and enrichment, and contribute to lasting improvements that strengthen the community as a whole.
Co-Founder / Executive Director Lynos Newton
Lynos Newton is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Three Blu Hearts, Inc. In this role, he provides strategic leadership and oversees the organization’s programs, operations, and community initiatives. Lynos is deeply committed to improving standards for today’s youth and creating opportunities that promote growth, leadership, and positive development.
As a brother of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Lynos is guided by the fraternity’s motto, “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.” This principle is reflected in the mission and daily work of Three Blu Hearts, where service, mentorship, and community engagement remain at the forefront.
Lynos is dedicated to cultivating a nurturing environment where young people feel supported, empowered, and inspired to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Board Member
Areion serves as Secretary/Treasurer of Three Blu Hearts, Inc. She is a proud Shreveport native and an HBCU alumna of the illustrious Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2022. Committed to lifelong learning and service, Areion continued her education by pursuing a Master of Medical Science at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Areion proudly embraces Three Blu Hearts as a foundation that aligns with her belief that every child deserves a platform to dream, grow, and achieve great things. Her passion for service and community uplift drives her commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
Dedicated to improving the quality of life within underserved communities, Areion’s goals include giving back to the community in which she was raised while pursuing a career in healthcare. She aspires to attend medical school and become an OB-GYN physician, with a focus on reducing health disparities and improving outcomes for Black, low-income, and underserved populations—beginning with the community she calls home.
Mrs. Jaquita Newman is a Board Member of Three Blu Hearts, Inc. and a proud Shreveport native. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Dillard University and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. With over thirteen years of experience in accounting, Mrs. Newman brings strong financial insight, organization, and leadership to the board.
In addition to her professional background, Mrs. Newman transitioned into education as a Caddo Parish School Board teacher, where she is known for her enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to student success. She also serves as a basketball coach, using athletics as a tool to teach discipline, teamwork, leadership, and confidence to youth.
Mrs. Newman is passionate about service, education, and youth development. Her diverse experience in finance, education, and coaching makes her a valuable asset to Three Blu Hearts, where she supports the organization’s mission to enhance the lives of underserved children and families through empowerment, mentorship, and community engagement.
LaTarshia Gray
Board Member
LaTarshia Gray is a Board Member of Three Blu Hearts, Inc. and an accomplished entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in real estate, investments, and tax services. As the owner of a successful tax business for more than 11 years, she has served over 900 clients, earning a strong reputation for tax expertise, financial strategy, and commitment to client satisfaction.
In the real estate sector, LaTarshia has been recognized as a member of the Realtor Million Dollar Club and consistently ranks among the top 20 producing agents. With eight years of experience in real estate investing, she manages a diverse portfolio that includes 10 residential properties and one commercial property. She also brings hands-on experience in real estate development, having successfully completed multiple fix-and-flip projects.
As a board member, LaTarshia provides valuable insight in financial oversight, strategic planning, and sustainable growth. Her entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen strengthen the organization’s governance and support Three Blu Hearts’ mission to empower youth and enhance the lives of underserved children and families.
Outside of her professional endeavors, LaTarshia is a devoted wife and mother of four, admired for her ability to balance leadership, entrepreneurship, and family life while remaining deeply committed to community service.
The Board of Directors is responsible for governance, policy development, and financial oversight. Together with leadership, the board ensures that Three Blu Hearts, Inc. remains mission-driven, transparent, and accountable to the community it serves.
